BuildControl vs Procore

Procore is good. It is also quote-only.

We are not going to tell you their software is bad. It is rated 4.6 out of 5 across more than four thousand reviews and it earns that.

The problem for a $5–20M contractor was never the software. It is the price, the fact that you cannot find out what it is, and that it goes up when you have a good year.

Side by side

The differences that are structural.

Not feature checklists — those change every quarter and both of us will claim to have won. These are the ones built into how each company charges, which is the part neither of us can quietly change next release.

Being fair about it

What Procore is better at.

A comparison page that finds nothing good to say about the market leader is marketing, and you should read it as such. So here is the honest list, and none of it is close.

Straight answer

Buy Procore if this is you.

We would rather you spent thirty seconds here and went elsewhere than six months finding out. If you are one of these, we are not the right answer:

The one thing we will not do

Make you ask what it costs.

Four of the five largest platforms in this category are now quote-only. Buildertrend removed its published pricing in 2026. Autodesk removed theirs. Procore never had any. CoConstruct is gone. Whatever the reasoning inside those companies, the effect on you is the same: you cannot compare anything without booking calls.

Our price is on the pricing page, in numbers, and it is the same number for everybody. That is not generosity — it is the one advantage here that cannot be copied without giving up the thing they went quiet to protect.
