For superintendents

The field record, entered on site.

A superintendent is the contractor’s representative in the field, responsible for the day-to-day direction and sequence of the trades on site, for site logistics and safety, and for the record of what took place each day. The contract itself is administered by the project manager.

BuildControl records the day from the phone, while the work is in front of you, rather than from notes written up afterwards.

Daily logs

Yesterday’s roster carries forward and weather is filled in from the site location. What changed is what gets entered, by typing or by voice.

Photographs and punch items

Photographs carry the time, the coordinates and the project burned into the image rather than held in metadata. Punch items run from open, through ready to verify, to verified and closed.

Look-ahead, safety and field questions

The short-interval look-ahead against the current schedule, toolbox talks with attendance recorded, and field questions raised from site that stay separate from contractual requests for information.
