For subcontractors

Your record of the work, kept as it happens.

A subcontractor performs a defined scope under a subcontract, submits payment applications against a schedule of values, provides lien waivers and certificates of insurance, and is responsible for documenting the work performed.

BuildControl gives a subcontractor one place to do all of it — on their own jobs, and on any job they are invited to, where the account is free.

Your own work, and work you are invited to

Run your own projects — direct-to-owner contracts, service work and small jobs with no general contractor involved — with the same set of tools. Where another company invited you to their project, the account is free, and it stays free after that job closes.

Payment applications and lien waivers

Applications against a schedule of values, with previous billings and retainage carried forward. Conditional and unconditional waivers on progress and final payment, produced from the application they accompany.

Certificates, daily logs and photographs

Certificates of insurance and licenses with their expiry dates, held once for your company rather than filed per project. Daily logs, photographs stamped with the time and location, and punch items entered from the phone.
